Estimate. Actual BMR varies with body composition, genetics and health.

How it works

  1. Mifflin-St Jeor (1990): 10 × weight (kg) + 6.25 × height (cm) − 5 × age, +5 for men or −161 for women.
  2. Revised Harris-Benedict (Roza & Shizgal, 1984), shown for comparison.
  3. Mifflin-St Jeor is usually the most accurate for the general population and is the main result.

FAQ

Is BMR the same as daily calorie expenditure?

No. BMR is what the body burns at rest. For the whole day, multiply it by an activity level — use the TDEE calculator.

Can I build a client's diet from this?

The estimate helps guide training and your conversations with the client. Meal plans are a dietitian's job.

In Trainer Fácil, weight and measurements stay in the client's history so you can track progress.
